Richard G. Stevenson III, DDS, FAGD, FACD, ABOD
Dr. Stevenson earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1986 from UCLA, a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2001 from UCLA, and obtained Board Certification from the American Board of Operative Dentistry in 2008. He has been mentoring students to achieve superior results on Board Examinations and Entrance Exams since 1992. His work as a mentor of five Richard V. Tucker Study Clubs, combined with teaching at the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels at UCLA have forged his commitment to excellence and passing on the knowledge to others. His laudatory history with teaching has garnered him Teacher of the Year Awards from numerous classes at UCLA including the prestigious ADA Golden Apple Award for Teaching. He is a graduate of the famed Kois Center, and maintains a private practice at Stevenson Dental performing Complex Restorative Rehabilitations including Esthetics and Implant Dentistry.
Joan Pi-Anfruns, DDS
Dr. Joan Pi-Anfruns was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. He earned his degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2004 from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. He is an alumnus of the Advanced Implant Program, Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, New York University (2007). He joined the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2007, where he completed a Fellowship in Surgical Implant Dentistry (2014). Currently, Dr. Pi-Anfruns shares his time between private practice in Los Angeles, CA and as a part-time Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA with a dual appointment in the sections of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration and the International Team for Implantology.
Mudit K. Yadav, DDS
Dr. Yadav is a graduate of Manipal University, India and completed the rigorous 2-year Advanced Clinical Training Program at UCLA under under Dr. Stevenson in 2017. He is an expert in dental photography and is the chief faculty of the waxing courses held at SDS. He has been teaching courses alongside Dr. Stevenson for two years at UOP Dental School, and at the SDS Learning Center. He was voted as the best tutor by students last year and has a calm and down to earth teaching style. His clinical interests include advanced prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry and cast and direct gold restorations. He has been invited to lecture in India and continues to provide invaluable assistance with CAAPID applications and consultations via our Application Coach service. He practices general dentistry in Porterville, CA and teaches at SDS on the weekends and evenings.
Lane M. Ochi D.D.S., F.A.C.D., F.I.C.D.
Graduated with honors from the University of Southern California in 1981, where he received the Robert W. Mc Nulty Memorial Award for the highest scholastic achievement. He has been elected to membership in Alpha Tau Epsilon - U.S.C. Dental School Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi - National Society of Scholars, Omicron Kappa Upsilon - National Dental Honor Society, the Pierre Fauchard Academy - International Honor Dental Society, and he is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, and was the Co-director of Occlusion at U.S.C. School of Dentistry. He is also an Assistant Director in the Advanced Restorative Institute Dental Education Center, on the faculty of RIPE Global the world’s best cloud-based learning platform with simulation technology , and serves as a specialist consultant to the Graduate Prosthodontic Program at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in West Los Angeles. He has lectured to national and international audiences on the subject of aesthetic restorative dentistry and occlusion.
He has received multiple Commendations from the County of Los Angeles for his efforts to promote the health and wellbeing of underserved populations in his community.
Dr. Ochi maintained a full time private practice in Beverly Hills for over four decades with an emphasis on physiologic and aesthetic reconstructive dentistry. His patients included Academy Award winners, former Miss America’s, and some of the most recognized names in the entertainment business.
Cristina D. Lopez, DMD
Cristina D. Lopez, DMD, is a 1991 graduate of the University of the East. After practicing general dentistry in the Philippines, she immigrated to the United States and obtained her dental license. She has held a Lecturer appointment at the UCLA School of Dentistry in Restorative Dentistry since 2007, where she has served in several roles, including assistant to the chair in both the fixed prosthodontics and operative dentistry courses. She has given presentations and table clinics throughout the U.S. and Asia in the areas of cast gold, veneers and dental materials. She is a member of the Stevenson Clinical Study Club, Academy of Richard V. Tucker
Cast Gold Study Club and the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators. She is a highly sought clinician in private practice. Her fellow dentists seeking treatment from her as well as dental students and dental technicians is a testament to her great clinical skills. She has taught with Dr. Stevenson since 2008. She is in the Executive Council of the of the Academy of Operative Dentistry where she also serves on the Rising (Faculty) Star Committee.
William W, Morgan D.D.S.
William W, Morgan D.D.S. graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry in
1973 and began private practice in Woodland Hills, California. Upon
graduation, he was asked to teach part-time in the Section of Operative
Dentistry, at UCLA School of Dentistry which he did for three years. After
five years in full-time private practice, in 1981 he returned to UCLA School
of Dentistry to teach in the Section of Fixed Prosthodontics on a part-time
basis until 1996 when he taught on a full-time basis as a Clinical Professor
until retirement in 2015. Since that time, he has been an Emeritus Clinical
Professor on a recall basis.
At UCLA he chaired the pre-clinical Indirect Restorations course for over 25
years and currently co-chairs that course. In addition, he was co-chair of
the Clinical Restorative Dentistry course, which monitored student progress
toward graduation and cleared them when they were completed.
While at UCLA, he served on several committees and received numerous
teaching awards including being chosen by students as “Faculty of the
Year” on several occasions.
He has been a member of the American Dental Association and the
California Dental Association and is a member of the Academy of
Operative Dentistry as well as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor
society.
Savi Huang, MS
Born, raised, and obtaining her BS degree in Taiwan, Savi Huang came to the US and pursued her MS at UC Berkeley.
She worked in the IT field for nearly two decades before becoming a California Court Certified Mandarin interpreter, providing both on-site and telephonic interpretation and written-document translation services for courts, private industries, and many other organizations in Greater Los Angeles.
Ms. Huang is now the co-founder and owner of Stevenson Dental Solutions. She administrates the dental education branch alongside IT, marketing, dental supplies, and patient care.
