During this four-day review course, Dr. Stevenson will personally work with you to hone your skills in operative dentistry, with a distinct focus on the class II Preparation for Amalgam. The first three days will start with a short lecture, then a review of the standards expected by the testing Universities, followed by a live demonstration. After the morning intro, a specific assignment will be given which has been carefully selected based on a particular skill to master. Students will then work at their own station with a provided manikin and perform the assignment while being mentored by Dr. Stevenson. He will frequently watch your chair position, and provide you with helpful tips and techniques to follow to improve your results. During the prepping sessions, numerous “mini-demos” will be given to address issues that numerous students face. All of the demos will be completed with our state-of-the-art HD video camera, including feedback and mock bench exam critique sessions. In the afternoon, a group discussion will be held to mimic case-based testing scenarios common to many programs in the US. During the evenings, the center will remain open until 9 pm for guided practice with an SDS Mentor. Dr. Stevenson developed this method of instruction because it has been proven to be highly effective at accelerating your skills and deepen your understanding of excellent dentistry. The late afternoon will focus on Case-Based Theory and practical aspects of Treatment Planning.
On the final day of the course, participants will perform two mock exams followed to be incredibly well-calibrated grading sessions based on what the Universities in the United States follow. We believe that this 4-day course will transform your abilities and position you to be a highly competitive candidate. Our Success is Your Success.
