During this 7-day review course, Dr. Stevenson will personally work with you to hone your skills in operative dentistry, with a distinct focus on class II and III Preparation and Restoration for Amalgams and Composites, Class IV and V composites, and Fixed Prosthodontics covering the FGC, PFM, and All-Ceramic Crowns and Onlays.
Each day will start with a quiz, mock bench test, and a review of the standards expected by the testing Universities, followed by a live demonstration. After the morning exams and review, a specific assignment will be given, which has been carefully selected based on a particular skill to master. Students will then work at their station with a provided manikin and perform the assignment while being mentored by Dr. Stevenson. He will frequently watch your chair position and provide you with helpful tips and techniques to follow to improve your results. During the prepping sessions, numerous “mini demos” will be given to address issues that most students face. The demos will be completed with our state-of-the-art HD video camera, including feedback and mock bench exam critique sessions. During the evenings, the center will remain open until 9 pm for guided practice with an SDS Mentor. Dr. Stevenson developed this method of instruction because it has been proven to be highly effective at accelerating your skills and deepening your understanding of what it takes to become excellent in dentistry.
On the final day of the course, participants will perform two mock exams followed by grading sessions based on what the Universities in the United States follow.
You will have the potential to obtain a Certificate of Competency in didactic and hands-on Restorative Dentistry if your average or final score is above 3.0 on a 0-5 scale and you have achieved at least a 75% on written exams.
We believe that this 7-day course will transform your abilities and position you to be a highly competitive candidate. Our Success is Your Success. Join us and find out why hundreds of students internationally have come to learn from “Dr. S”.
