Description
Course description
This hands-on workshop explores conservative ceramic veneer preparation variations, from minimal facial reduction to incisal and interproximal extensions. Emphasis is placed on enamel preservation, reduction control, and precise margin design, with live demonstrations and guided practice.
Topics Covered:
1. Minimally invasive veneer design and enamel preservation
2. Depth-cutting burs and reduction-control sequences
3. Minimal, conventional, and extended facial preparation variations
4. Anatomical multi-plane facial reduction and uniform ceramic space
5. Cervical light-chamfer design and margin positioning
6. Proximal contact preservation, contact opening, and wraparound designs
7. Window, butt-joint, and incisal-overlap preparation variations
8. Preparation modifications for malposition, discoloration, rotation, and existing restorations
9. Enamel-margin refinement, smooth transitions, and reduction evaluation
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Perform depth-controlled conservative veneer preparations while maximizing enamel preservation.
2. Differentiate and execute facial, proximal, and incisal design variations.
3. Demonstrate precise cervical and proximal finish lines and smooth anatomical transitions.
4. Evaluate veneer preparations for reduction uniformity, enamel conservation, and margin continuity.
